About Us:

At NEO New Early Orthodontics™ we offer orthodontic services.

We are committed to the oral health of all ages and those with special needs. NEO means not only new, but a new awakening of something better, even revolutionary. It means replacing the traditional with a more enlightened approach. Our new orthodontic approach can obtain straight teeth in a more natural way, in many cases without needing traditional braces. Children fortunate enough to find their way to NEO do not have extractions, surgeries or difficult, long treatment for their smiles. We approach the function of the face, tongue, lips and cheeks to produce engaging smiles and happy, healthy individuals.

At NEO New Early Orthodontics your child will smile sooner!

Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Lauson’s distinguished career as a specialist in orthodontics, dentofacial orthopedics and temporomandibular dysfunction (TMJ) has spanned over 30 years. He graduated from the University of Iowa with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree in 1971. Dr. Lauson spent two years in the USAF Dental Corps where he studied periodontics and was the Preventive Dentistry Officer of his base. He then completed his orthodontic residency in 1975 at St. Louis University Medical Center and has been in private practice in Metro Denver ever since. During this time, he helped develop the techniques for completing orthodontic treatment resulting in full beautiful smiles without the removal of any permanent teeth.

Dr. Lauson has lectured at many national dental and orthodontic meetings and is currently listed in the “Guide to America’s Top Dentists”, published by Consumers Research Council of America. He was awarded the 2003 Colorado Businessman of the Year Award from the Congressional Committee on Business, Washington, D.C. as well as the distinction of Best of Aurora 2007 and 2008 for Orthodontists by the US Local Business Association. He is well known for getting excellent results in complex orthodontic and TMJ cases.

He is a Fellow of the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics. His other professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, Colorado Association of Orthodontists, American Association for Functional Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Metro Denver Dental Society, and the American Academy and Board of Head, Facial and Neck Pain and TMJ Orthopedics. Dr. Lauson is also on the advisory board of the Journal of Oral Hygiene and Health.

In Dr. Lauson’s book, “Straight Talk about Crooked Teeth,” The Lauson System: Nine Keys to Lower Facial Harmony, is presented. These nine keys provide a road map for the treatment of all our patients at NEO. The total orthodontic treatment approach makes up “The New Orthodontics™,” a trademark of NEO Kids Dentistry & The New Orthodontics™.

In his spare time, Dr. Lauson is an avid reader, likes to play tennis and ride bikes.
